To participate in FALC sponsored shows and exhibits, one must be juried in as a exhibiting member. Artists who have submitted 3 pieces of original art which meet with the approval and acceptance of the voting members will be awarded "Exhibiting Membership". Jurying in will take place at most meetings.

Membership for continuing members is $48.00 per year, January through December.

$48 - full year membership

$25 - half year membership (Jurying after June 2026 till December 2027)

Deborah Shea was born and raised in San Francisco. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Design at UC Davis, where she studied with Wayne Thiebaud and Roland Peterson. Deb had a career for over 20 years as a creative director, designer, and illustrator (in pastels) before becoming a full-time fine artist in 2018. She has won numerous awards in juried and solo exhibitions for her pastel; one of seven artists for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Exhibition for 2023 CA and recently the Triton Museum Open Exhibition in 2025 and 2026. She is a signature artist in many pastel societies across the United States and has had her work featured in Pastel 100 Annual in 2024, 25 and 26. She conducts pastel workshops and courses for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, at Filoli, Pacific Art League, Society of West Coast Artists and her studio at Art Bias in San Carlos, California. She resides in Redwood City, California. Deborah feels the beautiful color range of pastels could not be more expressive. Their fluidity and ability to layer is ideal to render all the beauty in floral paintings, still life and landscapes exploring the abstract shapes, finding the path of light, creating transparency and building luminous color. She prefers to work in large scale paintings, drawing the viewer in to experience her art. Deborah also works in large scale murals and was the lead artist for the Centennial Mural in downtown San Carlos, and most recently the “Where Imagination takes Flight” mural at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos.

 Library Show: The Cupertino Library Foundation is working with the Cupertino Library and the Fine Arts League of Cupertino to bring Art Exhibits to the Cupertino Library. The Cupertino Library Foundation has committed resources to help sponsor various Art Displays inside the Library. All artists in Santa Clara County who work in 2D art are encouraged to submit their original artwork for display at the Cupertino Library.
