Mimi(Camille) Kearns
has been painting in oils since 1998, studying with her mentor, Halycon
Teed at Palo Alto Art League for years and also taking classes at West
Valley College, University of Oregon and UC, Santa Cruz. Her first excursion
into serious art occurred in the '70's using textile arts, with commercial
success. Mimi has an extensive resume, a website (www.protime.net) and
has exhibited in numerous juried shows in California, New York and Florida.
She has won many awards for her realistic oil paintings, mostly landscapes
and portraits, with diversions to surreal subjects and mixed media experimentation.
She will be an invited guest on Art Talk TV hosted by the SOLA director,
Susan Kraft, in September and will have a solo (invitational) exhibition
at Twin Pines Gallery in December, arranged by Belmont Arts Council.
