Jean G. Black
I am an abstract or semi-abstract artist. Inspiration comes from nature, sometimes a sunrises or sunset or a natural or man-made design. Ray Barrio taught abstract painting and I was one of his best students. After the first painting Mr. Barrio said I was a born artist.
In 15 years of painting I've painted at least 300 pieces of art and learned how best to work with acrylic paints. I have received commissions, ribbons, participated in 'Art in the Park', AVA at the Triton, shown work in Quinlan Community Center and participated in Open Studios. Action, abstract painting is fun, creative and freeing.
