Diane Cassidy was born in Minneapolis, lived for a time in Milwaukee and Phoenix before coming to San Francisco and finally settling in San Jose. As a young person she was equally attracted to nature and art, eventually evolving into a BA in Biology and an MA in photography. Her biology degree led to employment as a medical technologist at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for twenty years. Her later photography degree led to her current interest in photo/ digital collage and the book arts. She has exhibited both her prints and her books at many local venues.
