Lara attained a
Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art (concentration in Photography) and a minor
in Film Theory in 2005. She then moved to Romania for a two-year term
of service with the United States Peace Corps. Throughout her time in
university and the Peace Corps, Lara taught art to youths aged 22 months
to 21 years.
The work shown
this gallery page blends Lara's love of photography and her love of
films. The three pieces included were from a 14-piece project entitled
"Footage of Revered Circadian Paraphernalia". This was Lara's second
foray into abstract work. Lara continues to work in abstracts, but is
now focusing on the figure. She is currently formulating plans to work
with nudes, linguistics, films, and environmental photography. Lara
moved to Cupertino during the summer of 2007. She is a member of the
College Art Association.
