Belinda Lima was born and raised in London, England and moved to California in 1989. She loves to paint everything but is particularly fond of figures, seascapes and still life. Her medium of choice is watercolor but recently has been incorporating acrylics into her work. She loves the intensity of color and texture that can be achieved with acrylics. Her paintings tend to be about shape and color but line has recently been evident. She loves to capture the essence of a subject so that it is recognizable but allows the viewer to complete the picture. Belinda is affiliated with FALC, Santa Clara County Watercolor Society and The Los Gatos Art Association. She was recently awarded first place in watermedia in the LGAA member juried show.
