Tanushri started off on art as a hobby exploring charcoal drawings, watercolor, acrylic, oils, stain glass and murals. Soon she discovered that friends and home/office designers were attracted to her innovative work leading her to start her own gallery and take on commissioned work assignments. She also participated in various city art shows and won awards. More recently, she has been formally studying different media as well as art history.
