While I was in school I attended classes in drawing and etching. Over time I continued drawing with the intent to transition into painting . A few years ago the opportunity arose for me to dedicate myself to cultivating this path . I found that my passion lies in working with ideas that are sketched and then allowed to unfold spontaneously in vibrant colors. My work tends to flow organically and is derived from shapes found in nature like flowers, leaves and flowing water. I have also been influenced by Georgia O’Keeffe and her brilliant use of color, her flowers and the way she uses visual components in her paintings.
