Like many artists in the valley, Nancy worked for years in the high tech field while being a spouse and parent and trying to find time and energy to devote to art. First there were evening classes, then after joining the ranks of the “retired”, she was able to attend classes and workshops during daylight hours (!) with well-known instructors, and also to join several art clubs, including FALC and SCVWS. Nancy’s media of choice is watercolor, and the subject matter is whatever she finds currently inspiring, from markets in Croatia, to leftovers on the lunch plate, to sunlit characters of all ages. Nancy is pleased that some of her paintings have received local, state, and national recognition and awards – but she paints primarily for her own joy and for her family and friends.
