I enjoyed both brush painting and oil painting when I lived in Honolulu and Tokyo. When I came to California, I took a variety of college art classes, and attended several workshops in art and calligraphy. I enjoy combining watercolor and calligraphy using Biblical, didactic or humorous quotations. I also like to experiment with using silk with watercolor and using mixed media with my calligraphy. I find creating art very therapeutic.
